Africa2Africa Connections is grateful for the Discipleship Resource Fund that made it possible for African marketplace ministers from sub-Saharan Africa to be part of one of 3 generations of Living on Purpose Foundations cohorts we hosted in 2024-2025. Thank you for making the impossible possible for those who would not have been able to access this blessed resource helping our marketplace believers grow in their ability to integrate faith and work. At A2A, we believe that African marketplace believers are strategic for the Gospel. The Living on Purpose material helps to breakdown that sacred-secular divide that has prevented believers in the marketplace be salt and light as God calls the church to be in all spheres of society.

In collaboration with partners from Madagascar, we were able to host two generations of French cohorts as well. The grant has been especially influential in giving access to our French -speaking marketplace believers.

We have had 19 people attend Living on Purpose Foundations sessions in 2024 and our current session that started in January of this year. We are also planning a session with my church to be launched at our bi-annual Placed with Purpose conference in July this year. After that pilot project, we hope to launch in person groups in Botswana, Kenya and Zambia hosted by church leaders who were participants in one of our cohorts.

The North Sea Baptist Church, like most churches, struggles to fund adult programs. The Discipleship Resource Fund has helped minimize our costs for licenses and has allowed us to expand our program to now include Living on Purpose Life Applications. We have used a form of Living on Purpose materials since 2019 with Jim's help and have developed a strong discipleship program based on the content. We had 15 people take part in our online Foundations cohort groups in 2024. With the help of the Lewis Fund grant, we are able to offer the material to an additional 15 who attend this year, and another 5 people start the advanced Life Application courses. We are praying about the future of our discipleship program and how the Living on Purpose material will be involved. We are happy to share that two different ladies within our church have each led their own cohort study groups for four of the years and have mentioned that the Spirit speaks to them each time as they learn something new through the material. We are grateful for the funds that you have provided to help us not only to reach members of our church but others from nearby churches as our cohort groups reach out beyond our church walls. – Seth and Kristy Stohlman

Founded over 30 years ago, Singapore-based Global Reachout (GR) engages with 25,000 content subscribers across East and Southeast Asia every day. Michelle Liew, GR’s Founder and Executive Director, felt it best to begin offering our Life of Joseph devotional to her online subscriber base. The Discipleship Resource Fund enabled Global Reachout to secure a no limit, perpetual license for Life of Joseph, providing this devotional to GR’s large and growing audience. GR’s intent is to then begin marketing and offering Living on Purpose-Foundations and Life Application Journeys in their next phase.
